The Drivers Education program consists of classroom instruction and motor vehicle on-road instruction.
Classroom Instruction:
The classroom requirement consists of 30 hours of instruction. Parents are required to attend 2 hours in the classroom. The classroom modules are comprised of subject matter that will provide students the skills necessary to obtain a driver’s license and become conscientious drivers, including but not limited to:
The Massachusetts driver’s license
- The driver’s license privilege
- Motor vehicle safety
- Rules of the road
- Defensive driving and special situations
- Vehicle ownership
Motor Vehicle On-Road Instruction: consists of 12 hours behind-the-wheel instruction and 6 hours of observation while another student is taking behind-the-wheel instruction.
Driver’s Education Cost: $785.00 + $15.00 for certificate
Students must complete all of the above requirements to obtain drivers education certificate. Students who miss a class must make it up during the following session
